Description

Rectangular wooden writing tablet. Protrusion at one end, cylindrical in shape and terminating with a semicircle; both bound in leather. Thick leather strap attached to the handle, decorated with geometric patterns in red and black. Leather tassels attached to the handle, some thick with geometric patterns and some thin, Possible Arabic text written on both sides of the board, as well as geometric design in red and black.

'Rectangular with a leather covered protrusion at one end, with leather straps and tassels. These are decorated with red and black pigments and areas of the leather has been cut out, crating a pattern. Tablet is written on both sides, ?Arabic, and decorated with red and black geometric patterns. White accretions on both sides on board, ?paint. R.Hand 30/7/2001'
